Services

Before deciding to attend The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, Bill Aubel worked for several years in sales and business development. After feeling as though he had reached a professional ceiling, he decided to take on the challenge of law school. He’s been practicing since 2016.

Bill joined Flaherty’s Charleston office in 2019 and focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation, insurance coverage defense and bad faith, and professional liability. He takes great pride in having helped his clients reach favorable settlements and avoid potentially costly verdicts.

“The most rewarding part of practicing law is that it allows you to be of service to your client.  Also, I have been extremely lucky in my practice to work with a few brilliant individuals who were genuinely concerned about my development as a lawyer and who took the time to mentor me.”

Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, golfing or enjoying a run. As a former Ft. Lauderdale resident and season ticket holder for 20 years, his Sundays in the fall are spent rooting for the Miami Dolphins.
