Services

Growing up, James Cann knew he wanted to be a lawyer one day like his grandfather and father. Today, he joins Flaherty after 36 years in private general practice where he still practices alongside his father, Carmine.

James practices in our Clarksburg office, counseling clients in a wide range of business matters. He has extensive experience in real estate, oil and gas, wills and estates, and in corporate business and municipal law. He is the attorney for the City of Clarksburg and is one of the Mental Hygiene Commissioners in Harrison County.

“My goal in practice is to listen and to lead my clients through every step of the transaction process. I want to create a satisfying experience for my clients so they can get back to business.”

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his wife Sally, their three children and two grandchildren. When he’s not with family or cheering on the Mountaineers, you’ll find him training for his next marathon.
