Evan S. Aldridge

Evan Aldridge chose to become an attorney because of his interest in business, and it’s those degrees in business that offer him a deeper understanding and appreciation for how his clients’ needs fit within their business plans. He can tailor his representation beyond general practice by focusing on what is most important to the client.

Since 2018, Evan has primarily represented clients in business matters, construction law, deliberate intent matters, and business litigation. He has helped clients throughout the entire lifespan of companies, from incorporation to licensing, real estate purchases, employment agreements, termination, and litigation. His familiarity with client issues throughout the company's growth and maturity provides a unique perspective to identify present and future issues.

Outside the office, Evan enjoys following West Virginia University sports, catching up with friends, and working on his family’s farm.

• Represented companies through the process of creating a business entity, drafting governing documents, and registering the business with the state
• Represented companies and individuals in litigation such as employment disputes, personal injury, slip-and-falls, estate, wills & trusts, conversion, debt owed, aircraft purchase agreements, and other “general” matters
• Represented a barge company in multiple Jones Act, maritime law (workplace injury) settlements, and maritime vessel purchases/leases
• Represented companies in disputes related to coal mining, oil and gas, and timber operations and employees
• Represented oil and gas companies in negligence and deliberate intent suits
• Represented mining companies in severe injury cases in deep mine and surface mining
• Represented multiple companies interested by serving as outside general counsel to advise company principals, employees, and affiliates on legal matters and best practices
• Represented companies and individuals’ interests related to personal property and real estate matters, including drafting property transfer documents, performing title work, estate disputes, and other property ownership-related actions
• Represented a midstream oil and natural gas company in an OSHA regulatory/administrative action related to employee injuries and a fatality
• Represented companies in litigation related to or involving state and federal agencies including the Attorney General’s office, OSHA, a Public Service Commission, MSHA, DOJ, WVDEP, WVDOH, WVDOT, WVMSHT, WVSOS, and others
• Represented trucking and insured drivers in relation to motor vehicle accidents, including litigation and complex post-accident investigations of serious injury and fatal accidents
• Represented companies in relation to disputes involving WVDOH & WVDOT projects
• Represented an array of industries in workplace injuries suits including claims of Deliberate Intent
• Represented employers in suits related to serious injury and wrongful death, including obtaining summary judgment in favor of the defendants on the merits of the case
